The Power of 4 Million Viewers

For the past 6 months we have been building something very special yet sometimes it takes other forms of reference to put things into proper perspective.  This past weekend, I read a few things that got my attention…’Charlie’s Angels’ television show reached 3.2 million viewers in its third week out;  925,000 people watched Notre Dame play Air Force; and the Wall Street Journal has launched a publication that reaches 1,000,000 teens each month that they are soliciting advertisers for.  What surprised me the most was how these numbers compare to our network. We reach over 4,000,000 monthly viewers for our Syndicated Featured Columnists sections, with over 20,000,000 monthly page views.  Now those are numbers that make the others pale by comparison.

Our visitors read many of the columns, especially those for which they have a particular interest.  Yet this ability to reach this mass audience in just six months is pretty incredible. Analyzing our present numbers, which have been based on an approximate 4,500,000 viewers each month, Entertaining At Home, written by Cheryl Najafi owner of “CherylStyle” received 22,000 readers of her articles during September.  CherylStyle has been extremely consistent with submitting articles…28 so far since our May launch.  Her content is professional, relevant, timely, and just great interesting reading, and she is building her brand every month using our platform.  I believe Cheryl will enjoy a major increase in readership in the coming months, as her regular readers will return, and many new readers will become loyal followers of Cheryl and her brand.

Now that we are in the “big leagues” in terms of audience, it is very important that we execute and produce interesting content, weekly, to take full advantage of this opportunity.  It is now proven that the people producing with regularity are enjoying the best results, and there is nowhere else….print, television, radio, or online that gives your brands the most exposure for the money that you are spending with us each month.  And it will only get better….

Hyper Local Media

Hyper local media is the new buzzword among media buyers and the clients that hire them. With the information highway increasing the number of national ads going on national sites and the client not being able to effectively track their results, hyper local is the way to not only increase traffic to your product but also be sure the local public is aware of it too.

Hyper local media is the organic way to target response for your client.

Cities Planet is one of the premier local media companies targeting sixty five markets all over the country.

My first blog was about online dollars in 2011, and my second is now about hyper local media. .  . . Stay tuned for number three!!

Online advertising with a national advertising twist predicts 2011 trends

Online advertising is the easiest, quickest, most efficient way a national advertiser can get to the consumer. Period. I said it.

National advertising is a breed unto itself. It is a solid if not the most solid arena of advertising a product can get, can target and can market. Period. I said it.

When the debate is constant about how many clicks, how many views, how many people, how much visibility, where are the numbers? STOP!! Numbers, although important are not the only story. Where are you actually putting your advertising dollars and how much “quality” visibility are you getting? If you are basing your buys on numbers alone, you are not doing your clients any good. There is a current debate now between those pesky online tracking companies and the FCC. The FCC is proposing a “do not track list” from various watchdog groups and the trackers are not necessarily winning. Keep checking though, we will keep you posted on that one. It is a testament that tracking isn’t always accurate.

One of the main trends I predict for 2011 is the increase in advertisers needing real estate of the online market. They are not going to just want the banner ad, the side home of the advertiser calling out to the consumer…they want more…they want beachfront, sunset seeing property that their competitor doesn’t have, can’t afford and doesn’t know how to procure. Just as YouTube saw it’s views per day increase from 1 billion to 2 billion in 2010…2011 is going to see advertisers going from banner ads to large, content heavy, photo driven, backlinking, keyword driven advertising. The advertiser will see more and more the trend continuing to move through 2011 and to 2012…are our predictions correct? Keep reading…we are glad to have you.
